Auto-replenish inventory

New feature for Instant Channel Manager

What's new? 

We have introduced an ‘auto-replenish’ feature which, if activated, will automatically update your inventory when a booking is cancelled or modified.

For example, if a booking for a one night stay in one room is cancelled, availability for that room on that date will automatically increase in your channel manager and all connected channels will be updated accordingly. Auto replenish will also update inventory for modifications including changes (increase or decrease) to the length of stay and the number of rooms, as well as completely new dates.

Note: this feature is best suited to properties that do not have a Property Management System (PMS) integrated with STAAH channel manager. If you do, we recommend that you do not activate auto-replenish and instead manage availability through your PMS.

Why

Activating ‘auto-replenish’ will save you time and effort as you will no longer need to manually increase a room’s inventory when a booking is cancelled or modified.

When

This feature was released on Tuesday 26 July 2016.

How

To enable/disable the auto-replenish feature, login to your STAAH extranet and follow these steps:

Hover over the cog icon (top right corner of your screen).

In the drop-down menu, click ‘Auto-Replenish’.

Click ‘Enable’ / ‘Disable’ and click ‘SAVE’.

And to view the history of changes to the auto-replenish feature...

Click on the icon in the top right hand corner (on the ‘Auto-Replenish’ screen.

A lightbox will display showing each occasion when the auto-replenish feature has been enabled/disabled.

ConvertDirect bookings

To cancel a booking made through your ConvertDirect booking engine, login to your STAAH extranet and follow these steps:

Hover over ‘Instant’ in the primary menu (across the top of your screen).

In the drop-down menu, click ‘Bookings’.

Click on the relevant booking number (column third from the right).

A ‘Booking Details’ lightbox will appear – scroll down and click ‘Cancel Reservation’.

With auto-replenish activated, your inventory will be increased automatically in your channel manager and all connected channels will be updated accordingly.

OTA bookings

With auto-replenish activated, all modifications or cancellations received from OTAs that retrieve into STAAH will prompt availability to be increased in your channel manager and all connected channels will be updated accordingly. The majority of OTAs support modification/cancellation retrieval into STAAH, including Agoda, booking.com and Expedia.
