What is GDS?

GDS stands for Global Distribution System.

Originally developed for the aviation industry, the GDS is now the platform used by travel agencies and large corporations to book hotels and other travel services, such as flights and car hire.

Why should I connect to the GDS?

Connecting to the GDS will dramatically increase your exposure beyond the consumer-dominated online travel agencies (OTAs) and direct bookings through your website. Your hotel will become visible to and bookable by more than 500,000 travel agencies and large corporations.

How does it work?

The GDS becomes simply another channel.

Your rates, inventory and other information on the GDS are managed through your channel manager, in exactly the same way as your other channels, such as or Expedia.

Anything else I should know?

In order to connect to the GDS, you will need to be setup on our Channel Manager (Instant or Max)
